Meraki Samsara, a collection of 62 luxury villas near Kolkata, offers a harmonious blend of modern architecture and nature-inspired living. We at wrkstn crafted a distinctive brand identity for Meraki Samsara, starting with a logo inspired by architectural shadows and a custom typeface. This branding is reflected across print and digital marketing materials that emphasize the villas' sophistication and tranquil setting.
CHALLENGES
Capturing the Essence of an Oasis:
The brand identity needed to convey Meraki Samsara's position as a tranquil escape from the city. Translating the interplay of minimalist architecture and the serene lake setting into a logo was key.Designing for Flexibility:
The logo had to be adaptable yet impactful, serving as a foundation for a versatile brand language that could express different emotions and aspects of the luxurious lifestyle Meraki offers.Reflecting the Unique Location:
The branding needed to subtly reference the surrounding paddy fields and natural beauty, positioning the villas as a rejuvenating haven within Kolkata's reach.

Greenery Moodboard: The architect's vision for Meraki Samsara emphasized a lush, verdant environment, providing inspiration for the project's natural color palette and focus on tranquility.

Lifestyle Moodboard: To guide the branding's luxurious feel, we analyzed the architect's proposed furniture and artifacts. This highlighted their focus on refined textures, warm tones, and an overall sense of sophisticated comfort.

Shadow Moodboard: Studying the architectural interplay of light and shadow was crucial for the logo design. These contrasts evoke depth and a sense of ever-evolving space, reflecting the dynamic nature of Meraki Samsara.

Floral Motifs Moodboard: We explored traditional Indian floral motifs for the logo design. These intricate patterns symbolized the connection to nature, heritage, and the feeling of understated luxury the brand aimed to convey.
